We are thrilled to share Browns Hotels & Resorts’ remarkable steps towards sustainability by completing the Thaala Bentota Solar Power Project. This initiative, boasting a robust capacity of 300kWp, a testament to our commitment to environmental responsibility and reducing our carbon footprint.

 

Annual Energy Impact

The Thaala Bentota Solar Power Project has been a game-changer, contributing significantly to our commitment to sustainable practices. With an average monthly generation of 33,040 units and an impressive annual generation of 396,480 units, the impact in reduction of our carbon energy consumption is remarkable.

 

Environmental Impact

The environmental benefits of this solar initiative are truly noteworthy. By harnessing the power of the sun, we would save around 440 tons of CO2 emissions annually. This reduction in carbon footprint is not just a number; it represents a tangible step towards a greener future for Thaala Bentota and beyond. To put it in perspective, the equivalent of 250 trees will be planted annually virtually through this project, reinforcing our commitment to conservation and biodiversity.
