Avani Bentota Resort recently received ISO 22000:2018 certification from SGS for the preparation and serving of food and beverage. This internationally recognized certification covers all the processes in the food chain that impact the safety of the end product. The standard stipulates the requirements for a comprehensive food safety management system, as well as incorporating the elements of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Guests can experience international cuisine at the all-day dining restaurant, Breeze, poolside sundowners at Chatters or the Loft Bar, while enjoying private beachfront and in-room dining which add to the overall culinary experience – all in compliance with internationally recognized standards.
